Jari Love – Get Extremely Ripped DVD Review

Jari Love’s Get Extremely Ripped DVD is tough. It’s challenging for beginners and even some experts. The workout comprises of two 30 minute routines along with a 8 minute session of ab work and a 8 minute stretch at the end of the workout. You can choose to do both routines together or just do one routine at a time, which is useful if you’re rushed for time.

Leslie Sansone’s Walk Slim – 4 Fast Miles DVD Review

I was a little hesitant to buy the Leslie Sansone Walk Slim 4 Fast Miles DVD because I read some negative reviews about it, but I took a chance and I am somewhat glad that I did. I also own several of Leslie’s tapes and I’m a bit of a collector so I just purchased this DVD to round up what I already have. This is a fantastic workout for seniors and I ended up passing it to my parents.

Total Body Cardio Toning DVD Review

I bought the Total Body Cardio Toning DVD and decided to do a review of it. Short summary: It’s a refreshingly non-cheesy workout that’s a mix of cardio, yoga and pilates. I was looking for something a little different than what I have been doing and this fit the bill.

The name Cardio may be a bit misleading in that there is no hard aerobics/dancing here!

The workout uses Yoga, Pilates – and your own body weight to get your heart pumping – that’s not to say you will not be jumping she does this at a controlled pace.

Denise Austin Boot Camp – Total Body Blast DVD Review

I have a few Denise Austin workout DVDs and the one I do most often may just be the Denise Austin Boot Camp Total Body Blast workout. The exercises here are fast-paced (which is how I like it). There’s a good amount of toning and cardio.

This dvd is 20 min cardio, 20 min toning, 10 min stretch. The cardio is good, but they put the abs at the end of it. I wish it was in the toning section. The toning is mostly squats/lunges with some weights.

The Biggest Loser Cardio Max Workout DVD Review

This video surprised me. I started using the Biggest Loser: Cardio Max DVD 3 weeks ago – and boy does it get your lower body burning! It uses former contestants from the biggest loser (instead of professionals), so don’t expect a perfectly synchronized group of people.

The first time I watched it, my timing was all off (as was everyone’s on the video). Now I am used to it, and it no longer bothers me.

Callanetics 10 Years Younger in 10 Hours DVD Review

Retail Price: Varies based on product options
Amazon Price: View Sale Price
Ok, the leotards and hairstyles are so outdated and the background music makes you feel like you’re in an elevator, but the actual Callanetics 10 Years Younger in 10 Hours workout is fantastic. You may roll your eyes at the leotards and the music, but this is the real thing and will give you visible results right away. I have completed 7 hours so far and I can already tell a difference. My obliques are firming up as well as my abs.

Leslie Sansone: 5 Day Slim Down DVD Review

The Leslie Sansone 5 Day Slim Down workout is made up of five walking cycles all of which are around 30 minutes each. The first workout is the easiest; it’s a basic march, kick, step touch and knee lift routine. The next three, incorporate body toning (arms, abs and lower body) which make it a little more challenging and then finally comes the hardest of them which is the speed walking routine and it honestly is intense and more challenging than you’d think.

Workout: One-On-One Training with Jackie DVD Review

I bought Jackie Warner’s workout DVD on a whim. Having seen a few episodes of the Workout series and seeing that it was only $8 I found it to be a good deal. So when I popped it in yesterday I was amazed at how quick yet effective each workout is.

One of my favorite things about it is that she has broken down the three routines into Upper Body, Lower Body, and Abs. So you can alternate days thus giving your muscles time to rest and repair. This is a HUGE draw to me.
