The Lotte Berk Method 4 Disc Set Review (Highly Recommended!)

by Natalie Belford

I love, love, love the Lotte Berk Method DVD set and can’t recommend it enough! If you are new to the Lotte Berk method, you will relish in the fact that they cater to beginners as well as the more physically advanced. Lotte Berk was a Russian dancer who formulated this method based on isometric principles which targets major spots of the female figure such as the thighs, seat, triceps, biceps and ads with a touch of ballet barre. The movements are extremely precise and targeted followed up by the ritual of stretching of each and every muscle for a lengthening and shaping effect.

The focus of this system is on muscle tone and elongation. Faithful practitioners will also gain an elegant ballerina posture and figure. Each section of the workout emphasizes detail to form, along with the trademarked Lotte Berk tuck, a pelvic tilt for the extra definition to each movement. The workout can be challenging for beginners especially those who aren’t very fit but with daily consistency and practice, beginners will find these basic movements much easier to perform day by day. There is even a moderator which beginners can follow. She often stops and shakes out to show that it is okay for beginners to do so likewise in order to gradually built their own resistance and pace.

There are 4 DVDs in the Lotte Berk Method set, each workout video lasting for 30 minutes plus a bonus workout. The bonus workout is a condensed version of the 30 minute workout lasting for about 8-10 minutes with double the intensity.

The instructors for Lotte Berk Method are really motivating and assuring with a no nonsense demeanor meant to get you pumped up and moving. Each workout starts out by increasing your heart rate with chest high knee lifts, followed by female form forward and backwards push ups. There is thigh and seat section where the ballet barre exercises are introduced.

A sturdy home furniture that is about waist height is required for support for this exercise. Followed by the abdominal section and another seat section and then finally the “Shape by Stretch” section. These little targeted movements really work your muscles at the thigh, abs and butt hard. The Instructor Stephanie emphasizes how crucial stretching is and never rushes through each stretch.

Muscle Eats Fat requires the use of light hand weights for upper body toning, followed by Knee Dancing, a toning exercise to work your thigh muscles and finally the “Shape by Stretch Section”. Hip Hugger Abs focuses more on abdominal work rather than barre. It starts with the warm-up, then a little barre work, then mat work.

High Round Assets follows the same pattern of warm up and mostly barre work which you can really feel within your thighs and seat. I noticed that my buns and thighs looking a lot shapelier just in a few days but the instructors says that you will see results within 2 weeks. I am so excited and motivated by he results I see!

My abs are also getting so much more definition from all the tough abdominal strengthening. What I enjoy the most about this set is the stretching and the feeling of getting the best of a womanly figure through this feminine but rather tough workout. If you desire a lean and toned figure rather than bulging muscles, then the isometric focus of Lotte Berk Method is the best bet for female figure conditioning.

With these workouts, not only will your muscle tone and figure proportions improve, but your strength and posture will also sky rocket due to the throughout stretching and lengthening of muscle groups. This will also impact your back beneficially as your toned abs will now support it more adequately. Lotte Berk Method is a definite must try for all ladies out there. You should really buy this right now and start using it.

It really works and it will give you AMAZING results!
